71 vehicles and six race tracks provide varied racing enjoyment. The most renowned international vehicle manufacturers, such as Audi, BMW, Ferrari, Lotus, Mercedes, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Volkswagen, are represented with their most popular horsepower powerhouses. The track selection offers a suitable challenge for everyone – from the mountain course at the Eiger North Face, through the street circuit in London, to the speedway in Daytona, USA. Each course is presented in breathtaking high-definition graphics and can also be driven in the reverse direction or along alternative routes. Developer studio Polyphony Digital has also given the vehicles a thorough polish: all cars are animated with absolute realism and great attention to detail. The luxury machines impress not only with their outstanding looks but also with authentic handling. The development team has further optimised the game’s physics engine, so that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue offers a next-generation driving experience in the truest sense of the word. The Quick-Tune menu also allows the player to make many personal adjustments to the vehicles, for example to the drivetrain, tyres, suspension or other parameters.
