At NAB 2008 in Las Vegas, Riedel Communications debuted version 5.70 of its Director configuration software. The new release is fully compatible with Windows Vista and includes a Scheduler feature for automatically changing configurations at specified times.
Director 5.70 also supports programming the integrated intercom stations in Stagetec Aurus consoles. Artist control panels are connected to the matrix via AES; the Artist system uses the AES user bits to transfer data. This eliminates the need for additional cabling. LAWO, SSL and Studer consoles also support this form of integration.
Configurations can be managed by drag and drop, while real-time diagnostics and Remote functions provide control of individual stations. Programmable logic functions support complex workflows, and Audio Patch makes it possible to configure and store routing and DSP settings for every Artist station.
