The Blender Foundation was responsible for this project. A small team of seven people created the second Open Movie project using Blender software. The film was made in Amsterdam from October 2007 to April 2008. One goal of the project was to advance development of the open-source renderer, because the current version includes a new particle system that is particularly well suited to working with grass and fur and was used for this film.
The film is freely available, but buying the DVD also supports a good cause. Proceeds from sales are intended to finance further Open Movie projects.
