Wacom, the leading manufacturer of pen tablets, interactive pen displays and intuitive interface solutions, is reducing the prices of its top products, making its award-winning high-end technology accessible to a broader group of customers. The reductions apply to the Cintiq 21UX, PL-720 and PL-521 interactive pen displays, as well as the Wireless Pen Tablet.
Cintiq 21UX Interactive Pen Display
The Cintiq 21UX allows users to work intuitively and with optimal hand-eye coordination, using a pressure- and tilt-sensitive pen directly on the 21.3-inch TFT display. With its high UXGA resolution of 1,600 x 1,200 pixels and 24-bit color depth, the flat-panel display is also designed for demanding graphics applications.
Thanks to its paper-like surface and unique stand, which can be tilted from 10° to 60° when upright and allows the device to rotate through 360° when laid flat, the Cintiq 21UX lets users work in the same way they are accustomed to working with paper, a drawing board and a conventional pen.

Like Wacom’s other professional tools, the Cintiq 21UX also offers many useful functions that improve workflow and thereby increase productivity. These include the ExpressKeys, two sets of four freely programmable buttons that are preset with the frequently used CTRL, ALT, SHIFT and space-bar keystrokes. In many applications, the Touch Strip works like a scroll bar operated with a finger; alternatively, users can use it for zooming. With a resolution of 5,080 lpi and 1,024 pressure levels, the cordless, battery-free Grip Pen provides the highest degree of precision and control.
The Cintiq 21UX now costs €2,399.90 (recommended retail price including VAT).
PL Interactive Pen Displays
The PL series consists of two interactive pen displays with screen sizes of 17 or 15 inches, allowing users to enter data directly on the screen with the ergonomic pen. Unlike the Cintiq interactive pen displays, PL-series devices are designed for professional and classroom presentations, audio editing, medical applications, process control and office automation.

With a PL interactive pen display, presenters can write, draw or sketch spontaneously on the screen during a presentation, much like using a conventional overhead projector. The presentation can also be supplemented or changed during the talk without the presenter having to turn away from the audience. The adjustable stand makes ergonomic handling easier.
The PL-720 offers a 17-inch screen with SXGA resolution (1,280 x 1,024 pixels) and now costs just €1,189.90 including VAT. The PL-521, with a 15-inch screen and XGA resolution (1,024 x 768), is available for €999.90 including VAT. All prices are recommended retail prices.
Wireless Pen Tablet
Wacom’s Wireless Pen Tablet combines a slim, attractively designed A5-format pen tablet with Bluetooth technology that works at distances of up to 10 meters from the computer. The wireless pen tablet frees the workspace of unnecessary cables and offers a relaxed and comfortable way to work. With its high accuracy of more than 2,000 dpi, it enables precise, pinpoint operation. It is ideal for presenting, drawing, writing, navigating, and editing images and videos.

The Wireless Pen Tablet is powered by a high-quality lithium-polymer battery that enables up to 25 hours of continuous operation. Depending on the application and personal settings, two freely programmable ExpressKeys on the front of the tablet can be used, for example, to select different tools or change tool properties. The package includes a digital pen offering 512 pressure levels and a mouse. Both input devices use Wacom’s cordless, battery-free technology: they receive the necessary power from the tablet and are located by a signal on the tablet surface. Position, pressure and other values are then transmitted from the pen tablet to the computer via Bluetooth technology.
The Wireless Pen Tablet now costs just €199.90 (recommended retail price including VAT).
