The Altaeco Group, comprising Appiani, Ceramica Bardelli, Gabbianelli, and Ceramica Vogue, decided to work even more closely with Autodesk (NASDAQ: ADSK), a leading provider of software solutions for architects, to optimize the work of planners and architects.

In close collaboration, ready-to-use libraries were designed for Autodesk software and all compatible 3D programs. Conveniently downloadable libraries could be integrated into users’ own designs with Autodesk’s 3ds Max and Viz programs. For Appiani, this amounted to nearly 200 textures.

The libraries and textures were technically precise and easy to use.

Altaeco thus offered a large selection of products and solutions for designing every kind of floor and wall, from small-format mosaics to oversized tiles, providing a technical and creative range matched by few others.

Like the libraries, the websites provided all the desired information about catalogs, dimensions, technical details, and telephone support for designers. Information on the use of ceramic products could also be retrieved, or, as an alternative to downloading, a CD-ROM containing the information requested by the user could be ordered.

“Thanks to our collaboration with Appiani, we are giving our users a range of additional presentation options for their designs and presentations,” emphasized Christian Weiss, Autodesk’s industry marketing manager for AEC. “Autodesk’s aim is not only to provide architects and planners with optimal working conditions through our software solutions, but also to give them room for creativity and design.”

“Thanks to the collaboration with Autodesk,” said Marco Mignatti, Altaeco’s marketing director, “planning with Appiani is becoming easier and faster. Alongside the 3D libraries, architects can find all the technical information on the website needed to plan efficiently with our products.”
