The version also offers a printing module for creating CD and DVD covers. It can now also burn photo slideshows to DVDs.

Ashampoo Burning Studio 8 has arrived. For Oldenburg-based software company Ashampoo, which maintains a portfolio of more than two dozen Windows programs for 7.3 million registered customers, this release is one of the most important of the year.

Product Manager Sebastian Schwarz: “The fact is that every PC user really needs a good burning program. Ashampoo Burning Studio 8 offers all the important functions in a unified interface and is also child’s play to use. Whether the task is creating a backup on CD or burning a video DVD, wizards take users by the hand and guide them step by step through all the important processes.”

Ashampoo Burning Studio 8 is indeed one of the only major complete suites to bring all important burning tasks together in a single menu. Whether data, music files or videos are to be burned to a CD, DVD or Blu-ray Disc, the program shies away from no task and is so easy to use that even complicated-sounding jobs immediately lose their sting.

More importantly, Ashampoo Burning Studio does not rest on the status quo it has achieved, but is continuously improved, optimized and expanded by the entire development team. For the new version 8, the team led by chief developer Jan-Eric Duden has once again come up with several new ideas. The program now offers its own printing module for creating customized CD and DVD covers—something users had requested. It is also now possible to generate attractive photo slideshows, add transition effects and background music, and then burn them to a DVD that can also be played in a home theater.
