When Europe’s leading trade show for interactive entertainment, GC – Games Convention, closes its doors in the evening, life begins on the Festwiese in the heart of Leipzig. From 20 August, GC Freestyle – Gamer Camp on Jahnallee will offer a varied event. Low-cost overnight pitches will be available in the camping area, while popular scene DJs create a lively atmosphere in the chill-out zones. Campers can get active in the fun-sports area. Anyone booking a tent pitch at GC Freestyle by 31 July 2008 will also have the chance to win attractive prizes.
Together with Deutsche Entertainment AG and electronics retailer Saturn, Leipziger Messe will give away four pairs of tickets to the official GC game-music concert Video Games Live, along with ten Saturn shopping vouchers worth EUR 50 each, among all registrations. Interested visitors can register for a tent pitch at http://www.gc-germany.com.
Wi-Fi Enjoyment Through a Free Hotspot
Naturally, GC Freestylers do not have to sacrifice comfort. Sufficient sanitary facilities are available throughout the site. The Gamer Camp also has a permanent Wi-Fi connection. Campers with suitably equipped laptops can access the internet free of charge around the clock through hotspots. During visits to GC, valuable computers and other belongings can be stored in lockers.
For EUR 130, visitors receive the comprehensive GC Freestyle package, comprising a full-event ticket for GC – Games Convention 2008, four nights at GC Freestyle – Gamer Camp, free fun-sports and action activities in the GC Freestyle area, and free public transportation. Those spending only one day in Leipzig can purchase a EUR 38 day ticket that includes admission to GC – Games Convention and one overnight stay at the GC Freestyle site.
