Kaspersky Lab looks back on a successful tenth partner conference. From July 2 to 6, more than 300 partners, press representatives and Kaspersky Lab employees from 39 countries gathered in St. Petersburg. During four “White Nights” in the Venice of the North, participants learned about corporate and product strategies and the work of the virus laboratory through presentations and one-on-one discussions.

“This year’s partner conference in St. Petersburg was a complete success,” says Andreas Lamm, Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab Europe. “Our business has always been built on exclusive cooperation with the channel, and we are proud to be growing sustainably in this area as well. An event like this strengthens our already very close relationships with our partners and energizes Kaspersky Lab for another ten years of successful cooperation.”

The conference’s main topics were the company’s future strategy and the development of the recently founded European division. A standardized partner program for Europe will be introduced at the beginning of next year. Among other changes, all Kaspersky Lab partners will then have identical partner levels throughout Europe. A uniform European price list for enterprise products will also come into force.

The new structures create the foundation for consistent cross-border channel support, with the aim of achieving stronger growth in the enterprise segment and bringing new products to market faster and more efficiently. With these measures, Kaspersky Lab reinforces its business model of complete partner orientation and continues to firmly reject the option of direct sales.

This year, 149 partners from 39 nations participated in Kaspersky Lab’s annual partner conference—a rapid increase compared with the first conference in 1999, when just 12 partners from six countries were invited.

“Cooperation with Kaspersky Lab is incredibly efficient for both sides,” says Helge Scherff, Sales Director at IT security distributor Wick Hill. “The reseller model in particular is very successful. This area is continuously being expanded and enhanced. Overall, Kaspersky Lab deserves great credit for how intensively it cooperates with its sales partners. We support this strategy and are already looking forward to future cooperation with one of the leading providers of anti-malware solutions.”

“The tenth anniversary of the Kaspersky Partner Conference in St. Petersburg was a very special event, and the manufacturer came up with something extraordinary. What has not changed over ten years—and this is especially pleasing for partners—is its uncompromising commitment to the partner model. Even with very large customers, the manufacturer respects and supports the partner,” adds Manfred Neu, Head of Sales at Cyprotect AG.
