Optimal ergonomics are provided by the height-adjustable, swiveling, tilting and pivot-capable 24-inch display with a high-quality Super-PVA panel and additional USB hub.

More and more users are choosing flat-panel displays in the 16:10 widescreen format. A wide image corresponds more closely to the human field of view than the conventional 4:3 format of older monitors. Experience shows that once users become accustomed to the advantages of a wide picture, they no longer want another format on their desk.

“Our new W241D widescreen monitor offers the optimum combination of technology and design—for ambitious private customers and office users alike, especially in representative environments,” explains Bernd Hoffmann, Senior Sales Manager at HYUNDAI IT. He adds: “The growing importance of video applications and the spread of Windows Vista™ are helping the widescreen format achieve an increasing breakthrough among LCD displays. Widescreens are simply more ergonomic and easier on the eyes.”

First impressions count: the glossy black “piano finish” of the front frame and stand gives the W241D an elegant, high-quality appearance, further enhanced by the back in the fashionable color white. For PC use, the widescreen heavyweight can be connected through either an analog D-Sub or a digital DVI (Digital Video Interface) port.

For displaying video content, the monitor offers both HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) and component inputs. Both digital interfaces can process video content encrypted with HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection), allowing unrestricted multimedia enjoyment.

With the Super-PVA panel’s native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, the HYUNDAI W241D can display video content at Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080). Combined with the HDMI interface in particular, this opens many multimedia applications, including games consoles and DVD. The advantages of Super-PVA technology, paired with a high dynamic contrast ratio of 3000:1 and brightness of 500 cd/m², guarantee a razor-sharp image, uniform blacks and natural color reproduction. A response time of up to 6 ms prevents smearing in rapidly moving images. Two stereo speakers rated at 2 x 3 watts underline the 24-inch monitor’s multimedia credentials.

In addition to multimedia applications, the W241D is particularly well suited to office use. Excel spreadsheets can display more columns, and several pages of a text document can be shown side by side. The enlarged workspace is also a decisive advantage in CAD applications. Office users in particular will appreciate the continuously adjustable height, vertical tilt and horizontal swivel. The ergonomic stand also supports pivot mode. Viewing angles of 178° horizontally and 178° vertically provide unrestricted image quality.

“The widescreen format, productivity-enhancing usability and exceptional features, together with the good price-performance ratio, make this new HYUNDAI widescreen model an excellent choice,” says Bernd Hoffmann, convinced of the new W241D’s advantages.

The intuitive on-screen menu is conveniently operated using soft-touch buttons on the front frame. A gentle touch is enough to execute a control action, confirmed by an audio signal. A Kensington security-lock fitting on the rear allows theft-protected use in public areas. VESA compatibility for convenient mounting on support systems such as monitor arms rounds out the versatile monitor concept.

The HYUNDAI W241D is already available in Germany. The recommended retail price is €639 including VAT.
