In the coming weeks, Austria’s National Council election campaign will dominate political coverage on ORF.at, the regional studios’ online desks, ORF TELETEXT and ORF OK MultiText, with numerous daily reports on campaign developments.

The ORF.at network will also let users submit questions to leading candidates and will live-stream all televised confrontations and candidate debates. From August 22, 2008, wahl08.ORF.at will provide comprehensive on-demand programming and election service information.

Thomas Prantner, ORF director of online and new media, said: “During the campaign and on election night, ORF.at, ORF TELETEXT and ORF OK MultiText will provide up-to-the-minute information around the clock. Online coverage is ideally complemented by a multimedia focus featuring live and on-demand streams of election television programs.”

On election night, all three media services will report projections and results together with analysis and reactions. ORF.at and ORF TELETEXT will again present detailed results down to municipal level, while users can follow the special television broadcasts live on ORF.at.
