18-Camera Motion-Capture Studio Brings L4 Students into Motion

Students on the 3D Design and Film and Television Design programmes at Berlin’s L4 Institute for Digital Communication now have access to a newly established, state-of-the-art motion-capture studio.

The production environment operated by L4 and its technology partner Brave New Worlds is generously equipped with 18 cameras. Alongside full-body motion capture, it can now generate facial animation for the first time.

This makes L4 the only private education provider to offer a significant additional benefit for training 3D designers and film and television designers, setting new standards for these professions in Germany. Graduates can use motion capture both for their own projects during training and for their final examinations. Places remain available on both courses beginning on 6 October 2008.
