Practical examples are used to explain compositing techniques such as grading, tracking, matte painting and projections in 3D space.
After completing his master’s degree in computer science at the University of Bern, Miklos Kozary started as a compositor at Treibhaus Postproduktion (formerly Das Werk Zürich), working on features and commercials for two years. In 2006, he moved to Mr. X in Toronto, where he worked as a compositor on “Shoot ‘Em Up” and “Lust, Caution” and was 2D Sequence Lead on “Resident Evil: Extinction”. Since the beginning of 2008, he has been co-owner and Compositing Co-Supervisor at Elefant Studios in Zurich.
Stephan Schweizer began his path at the School of Art and Design in Zurich. Further steps included four years of training as a graphic designer and continuing education in digital film in Munich. In Zurich, he specialised as a compositing artist at Ultra Images for a further four years.
Since 2006, he has been a freelancer, working as Compositing Supervisor, Sequence Lead and Artist on films such as “The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”, “The Red Baron”, “300” and “Lissi und der wilde Kaiser” by Michael “Bully” Herbig. Since the beginning of 2008, he has been co-founder and Compositing Co-Supervisor at Elefant Studios in Zurich.
