In North America, the National Football League (NFL) recently announced that it would use Flash technology for the live online video stream of NBC’s Sunday Night Football games on http://www.NFL.com and http://www.NBCSports.com. French company M6, in cooperation with Limelight Networks, has also announced that it is joining major broadcasters worldwide in using Flash technology to stream its video content online. OpenTV Corp., a provider of extensive digital-TV services, has also said that it will integrate Flash technology into OpenTV middleware to enable the development of new user interfaces and rich applications (see separate original announcement in English).
