Both models provide a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080p, HDMI™ 1.3 and DVI interfaces with HDCP support, a high dynamic contrast ratio of 10,000:1 and a fast 2 ms grey-to-grey response time. The M series is aimed at home and office users alike. The attachable 2-megapixel webcam makes video conferencing and live internet chat easy. The 16:9 M2200HD and M2400HD are available from specialist retailers at recommended prices of €219 and €319 including VAT respectively.
The widescreen 16:9 Full-HD displays provide genuine 1:1 reproduction of Full-HD material with 1,080 lines. Images are therefore displayed at their highest native resolution in detailed, crystal-clear quality without loss. As 16:9 is the standard format for Blu-ray, HD Ready and Full HD, only a 16:9 display allows users to enjoy a genuine full-screen image without distracting black bars at the top and bottom. The 1,920 x 1,080 Full-HD resolution guarantees uncompromised visual enjoyment from HD sources, while HDMI 1.3 ensures fast data transfer without conversion losses.
The widescreen displays deliver excellent reproduction of 16.7 million colours. This quality is further ensured by BenQ’s enhanced Senseye®+Photo technology, which provides an additional sRGB colour mode that coordinates colour temperature and gamma. AMA technology provides the fast 2 ms response time important for video and games, preventing ghosting and smearing that can occur with moving images.
Along with the 2-megapixel webcam, a headphone input and integrated stereo speakers complete the displays’ multimedia equipment.
