The jury was particularly impressed by its design and pen technology, which enable intuitive work on a computer. At Photokina, the Plus X Award is exhibiting Bamboo Fun alongside the other innovative winning products.
Across more than 2,000 square metres in Hall 9.1, Photokina visitors can experience consumer-electronics products that stand out positively from the crowd. With 38 partners and a marketing volume of more than €4 million, the Plus X Award is Europe’s largest technology, sport and lifestyle competition. In 2008, the contest entered its fifth year.
Bamboo Fun—Design Your World
Bamboo Fun is a versatile input device for painting, sketching and drawing, as well as editing digital photographs on a computer. Available in two sizes, the pen tablet has a stylish, modern, all-white design and is ideal for anyone who wants to realise and develop creative skills. It includes the premium photo software Adobe Photoshop Elements 6 and ArtRage 2.5, a painting program that is both simple and expressive. Bamboo Fun therefore provides optimum conditions for turning creative ideas into reality intuitively and effortlessly.
Experience Bamboo
Every product in the Bamboo family also gives users additional tools for participating in the digital world more easily, personally and enjoyably. Bamboo Scribe provides powerful handwriting recognition, while Bamboo Link is an innovative search tool that presents results visually and dynamically. With Bamboo Space, Wacom has developed a simple, intuitive online application that allows users to collect new ideas and share them with others.
Bamboo Dock, placed as an icon on the desktop, provides access to the new applications. It also offers access to a growing number of Bamboo Minis—small applications offering a wide range of pen-based functions, from drawing and sketching to marking maps and playing games with the pen tablet.
The new Bamboo applications were developed specifically for Wacom. They are initially available for Microsoft Windows, with Mac OS versions to follow shortly. Additional tools and applications will follow.
