The 15th EuroMold will take place in Frankfurt from 3 to 6 December 2008. At stand E12 in Hall 6.0 and stand J84 in Hall 8.0, Autodesk will present its solutions for end-to-end digital product development. “From idea to prototype to series production” is not only EuroMold’s motto, but also the objective Autodesk implements through its products. To enable digital prototyping for the plastics-processing industry, Autodesk acquired Moldflow in the middle of this year. Moldflow Corporation’s software solutions allow developers and designers to calculate, visualise and optimise plastic parts and the injection-moulding process. Combined with Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Productstream, Autodesk AliasStudio and Autodesk Showcase, which will also be presented at the show, they provide a complete digital process chain for creating, calculating and simulating plastic parts.
“For us, plastics and composite materials are the materials of the future,” said Wolfgang Lynen, Industry Marketing Manager Manufacturing at Autodesk. “Plastics are relatively light yet durable, and they enable our customers to achieve their objective of sustainable production. Moldflow, with its leading solution for simulating plastic injection-moulding processes, is an ideal addition to Autodesk’s digital-prototyping solution. Together, we will present the future of plastic-part development at the trade show.”
