Luxology, maker of the Modo 3D package, is providing a file translator that enables data exchange with the Rhinoceros 3D design tool. The translator can read and write 3DM files containing meshes, improving the workflow for Modo and Rhino users working in fields such as industrial and packaging design or visualization. The translator is based on the OpenNURBS Library from Robert McNeel & Associates and is available in both PC and Mac versions.
According to Luxology, the recommended retail price for the file translator is US$99. It is currently being offered to registered Modo users as a free download.
