2K Games announced today that BioShock® for the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system is now available at German retailers. BioShock, a worldwide sales success on Microsoft’s Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system and Games for Windows®, will now continue that success on PLAYSTATION®3, as the top scores in early reviews already indicate.
“We look forward to presenting BioShock to an entirely different group of players,” said Christoph Hartmann, President of 2K. “With the new features and downloadable content exclusive to PS3, we are convinced that players now have even more reasons to fall in love with the unique and unforgettable world of Rapture.”
BioShock for PLAYSTATION®3 was developed by 2K Boston, 2K Australia, 2K Marin and Digital Extremes and includes brand-new, exciting additions that further enhance the gaming experience. The game introduces elements such as Survivor difficulty, supports trophies and can be expanded with new add-on content from November 20. A free BioShock demo is currently available through PlayStation®Network, giving players a glimpse of the game.
BioShock is a narrative wrapped in action, allowing players to make the impossible possible as they journey through a breathtaking, compelling and terrifying world.
