In this role, he is responsible for advancing CinePostproduction’s digital workflows and developing new digital services, as well as their technical implementation at all locations.
Jan Fröhlich joined CinePostproduction Bavaria Bild & Ton in 2004 and led the establishment of its Digital Lab and Digital Cinema Services. As Postproduction Supervisor, he oversaw numerous 2K and 4K projects, including URMEL VOLL IN FAHRT and DIE GESCHICHTE VOM BRANDNER KASPAR. In collaboration with the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, he also contributed to the development of new production and archive systems for digital television and cinema.
Jan Fröhlich completed his Audiovisual Media degree at Stuttgart Media University with a research paper on film scanners for archival purposes. In lectures and specialist articles, he addresses current issues in digital postproduction and cinematography and shares his experience with universities and media institutes.
