At the DVS booth, visitors can learn how to create high-quality presentations in uncompressed 4K, implement 3D applications and perform DCI mastering.

DVS will present solutions for playing presentation content at booth 11/E55 at ISE in Amsterdam. Visitors can experience how uncompressed 4K material can be used simply and reliably to meet the presentation market’s growing demands. With systems such as CLIPSTER®, ProntoXway and Cine4K, DVS enables presentation applications in formats ranging from SD to 4K.

Uncompressed playback of high-quality presentation content is becoming increasingly important because it delivers optimum image quality even when projected on large surfaces.

For years, DVS systems such as the Pronto disk recorders have been regarded as highly reliable and powerful playback devices capable of playing both compressed and uncompressed data. The uncompressed signal provides the full RGB 4:4:4 bandwidth with 10, 12 or 16 bits per colour channel in image sequences (DPX, TIFF, TGA and others). This avoids compression artefacts such as blurred images, washed-out colours and colour blocks, particularly in large-scale projections, and delivers high-quality presentations.

ProntoXway can deliver 3D presentations using just one system. The DVS disk recorder has two independently controllable video channels for convenient playback of stereoscopic content.

The Cine4K player combines uncompressed 4K material (4096 × 2160 pixels) with frame rates of up to 60p (60 frames per second). This exceptionally high frame rate for 4K makes the displayed content appear even more realistic. Cine4K enables lifelike presentation of elaborate productions and motion rides.

The CLIPSTER® DI workstation handles compressed and uncompressed SD, HD, 2K and 4K data effortlessly in real time. With the RED™ SDK release, CLIPSTER® supports decoding REDCODE™ RAW material directly in the timeline.

Creating DCI-compliant material is quick and easy with CLIPSTER®: the workstation supports every step from the Digital Source Master (DSM) to the Digital Cinema Package (DCP) at nearly twice real-time speed.
