Cologne postproduction company Head-Quarter is now using MWA’s first Flashrecord film recorder. The device is based on newly developed, wear-free LED technology and currently offers 2K resolution.

Head-Quarter Managing Director Robert Groß says: “We see the greatest advantage in its speed. Our film recorder exposes two frames per second for intermediate film. Other systems are many times slower.”

The new service at Head-Quarter should therefore be particularly attractive to producers who need to watch their budgets. Robert Groß: “Our film recorder is certainly an excellent alternative for commercial filmmakers, arthouse producers and documentary filmmakers who want to show their films in cinemas.” Head-Quarter is convinced that the film recorder will also further strengthen North Rhine-Westphalia as a film-production location.
