Valentine’s Day—or rather “WALL-E-ntine’s Day”—is taking place a week early this year, on February 5. WALL-E will be released on Disney DVD and Disney Blu-ray Disc™ on that date.
Romantics can also send “WALL-E-ntine’s Day” e-cards, available from early February at http://www.disney.de/wall-e.
WALL-E, the ninth animated film from the successful Disney/Pixar studio, was named Best Animated Feature at the Golden Globes on Sunday. The award for Best Animated Feature has only been presented since 2007, and Disney/Pixar has consistently prevailed over the competition. Following the successful films CARS (2007) and RATATOUILLE (2008), Disney/Pixar has now taken home the coveted trophy for the third time.
Alongside the WALL-E release, Disney is also pointing to the website http://www.another-time.de, which will launch at the same time. Visitors can expect a virtual intergalactic journey. With an interstellar space license, they can board their own spacecraft. During the journey through the galaxies, they complete exciting games and solve tricky quizzes. Back in the present, the best astronauts and players can win fantastic cosmic prizes.
