At Integrated Systems Europe, Europe’s leading trade show for professional audio-video solutions and electronic systems integration, SANYO Fisher Sales (Europe) is presenting a range of new projectors for professional users as well as its current line-up of monitors for digital signage applications.

With a stand covering around 450 square metres, SANYO’s presence in Hall 10, Stand 128 is one of the largest at the show, which takes place in Amsterdam from February 3 to 5, 2008. Under the motto “Full HD for Professional Use”, the company is giving the world premiere of its new digital-signage flagship, the PDG-DHT100L. The PLC-XTC50 with an automatic lamp-changing system and the portable PLC-XU355 with WLAN functionality for business use are celebrating their European premieres. In the monitor segment, SANYO is focusing this year on digital signage displays for indoor and outdoor applications.

SANYO is unveiling the PDG-DHT100L for the first time at ISE. As the highlight of its presence, the projector appears several times in a 22-metre-wide panoramic projection at the stand. It achieves a brightness of 6,500 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 7,500:1. Thanks to Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), it excels both in detailed, colour-accurate reproduction of images and films and in demanding design or CAD applications. Digital signage under difficult lighting conditions is another preferred scenario for the device.

The ability to transmit Full HD content over WLAN without delay, together with numerous optical adjustment options, rounds out its wide range of uses. PLC-XTC50: Low operating costs and easy maintenance

With the PLC-XTC50, SANYO is showing a specialist for fixed installations or continuous operation. The high-output projector delivers 5,000 ANSI lumens and sharp projections at XGA resolution. It is the first projector to feature the Automatic Lamp Selection System (ALSS), which doubles projection time to 6,000 hours compared with similar devices. Thanks to an additional automatic replacement system, the air filter also needs to be changed manually only after 10,000 operating hours.

This significantly extends maintenance intervals for the PLC-XTC50, reducing operating and servicing costs. PLC-XU355: Portable network projector for business and education. Business travellers and teaching staff can get started immediately with the new PLC-XU355. The compact unit weighs well under three kilograms and delivers a perfect image even in difficult lighting conditions, without requiring a fully darkened room, thanks to brightness of 3,500

ANSI lumens and XGA resolution (1,024 x 768 pixels). Its 1.6x zoom produces a large image even from short distances. “Easy Network Setup” allows the projector to be integrated into a wireless network quickly and without specialist knowledge, so data can be transferred from a PC to the projector.

Numerous other projectors shown in specific scenarios complete SANYO’s exhibition presentation. The PLC-XL51 ultra-short-throw projector, which delivers impressively large XGA images even at extremely short distances from the projection surface, is presented in typical digital signage settings. The PLC-XP200L demonstrates the advantages of QuaDrive technology for realistic, colour-accurate reproduction. In addition to its 3LCD panel, the extremely bright 7,000-ANSI-lumen projector has an additional Color Control Device (CCD), ensuring optimised colour reproduction. In the ultra-portable projector segment, SANYO is presenting the

particularly lightweight PLC-XW65, weighing just 1.6 kilograms. A separate home

cinema area features the PLV-Z3000 Full HD projector, whose 1,200 ANSI lumens and 65,000:1 contrast ratio are ideally matched to home cinema requirements. The complete projector range is also displayed passively at the SANYO stand.

In the monitor area, SANYO is highlighting three models for professional digital signage applications. Equipped with the new Sunlight Readable technology, the company is presenting the 52SR1 Full HD monitor and the 42SRE1 W-XGA monitor. While the 42-inch 42SRE1 is designed for brightly lit indoor applications, the 52SR1 was developed specifically for outdoor use. Its enclosure is certified to IP66, and a shatter-resistant front panel protects the device against vandalism. The 52-inch monitor can therefore operate in temperatures ranging from minus 20 to plus 45 degrees Celsius and is particularly suitable for installation in public outdoor environments and industrial applications. SANYO is also showing the 42LM5WP, which is likewise IP66-certified and designed for outdoor use.
