The new version is available now and resolves compatibility problems that can arise when the old driver is used on new Apple notebooks, for example after a hardware upgrade.
Through their integrated ExpressCard slot, Apple Pro notebooks can directly access Sony’s professional SxS memory card, the standard recording medium for the popular XDCAM EX camcorder series. The slot, integrated into many modern notebooks, enables a compact file-based HD workflow because no additional hardware such as a card reader or recording deck is required for data transfer to the video-editing system.
After free registration, the new driver is available for download at http://www.sonybiz.net.
