Increase efficiency and reduce costs with HP client-virtualization solutions: combined with Citrix XenDesktop 3, the new high-performance HP BladeSystem bc2800 and HP BladeSystem bc2200 blade PCs simplify desktop management and centralize resource allocation, making optimal use of both the data center and access device. The solution provides companies with improved manageability and scalability, greater security and enhanced control over their infrastructure.
“By combining HP blade PCs with XenDesktop, we have created a simple, cost-effective virtualization solution that enables companies to design and manage their IT infrastructure more efficiently. At the same time, we provide users with the powerful desktop environment they are accustomed to,” said Roberto Moctezuma, Vice President and General Manager of HP’s Desktop Solutions Organization.
“Especially in economically difficult times, we see client virtualization as a cost-effective alternative for companies seeking to modernize and better manage their IT infrastructure.” Equipped with AMD Athlon and Turion processors, up to 4 GB of memory and 80 GB of hard-drive storage, the HP blade PCs guarantee full performance—even under varying loads or when applications run in parallel.
The HP BladeSystem bc2800 and bc2200 blade PCs are expected to become available in mid-March. Further information about the Citrix XenDesktop package, specifications and prices will soon be available from HP and authorized HP or Citrix sales partners.
