LifeSize will set up a high-definition video solution and establish video conferences for testing, including connections to LifeSize UK and Algol’s Europe Solution Center. The LifeSize Room 200 system used for this purpose is the first Full HD system to offer standards-based resolution of 1080p at 30 frames per second or 720p at 60 frames per second. In dual-stream operation, Room 200 achieves 720p30.

For this purpose, LifeSize is providing HD transmissions on two large plasma screens. In addition to image quality, the Room 200 system offers further technical features such as full-motion data sharing. Documents, presentations, spreadsheets, and other material can therefore be exchanged during an ongoing video conference.
LifeSize Room 200 represents a breakthrough in bandwidth efficiency, delivering 1080p30 at 1.7 Mbit/s, 720p60 at 1.1 Mbit/s, and 720p30 video at just 768 Kbit/s, making telepresence conferencing possible in organizations of all kinds. With twice the frame rate and half the latency of other HD systems, LifeSize Room 200 provides a communication experience surpassed only by being there in person.
LifeSize Room 200 includes as standard:
A built-in HD multipoint control unit with transcoding, allowing up to six participants at the same time—a feature previously available only with expensive standalone bridges.
Standards-based full-motion data sharing, allowing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, video, and other digital information to be shared in full motion and high resolution.
Multiple camera inputs for even greater deployment flexibility.
Dual-screen support for numerous video and data presentation options.
