The three-part BBC documentary “Ganges – India’s River of Life” follows the river’s course, creating a unique portrait of the colourful natural world, picturesque landscapes and fascinating culture along its banks.

This is the uncut version, released exclusively on Blu-ray Disc. It is one hour longer than the ARD television version broadcast on August 24, 2008.

An interesting detail: alongside the English soundtrack, the German version is also provided as a losslessly compressed DTS-HD track.

Both versions will be released on March 27, 2009. The Blu-ray version costs EUR 23.95 and the DVD EUR 14.99.
