DVS presented a new Spycer feature set at NAB 2009. RED conversion and support for broadcast MXF formats expanded content management for postproduction, broadcast, and presentation users.
Previewing and converting RED files in Spycer allowed users to work quickly with footage recorded on RED cameras.
Spycer also fully supported the new CLIPSTER conforming tool, enabling rapid searches across a heterogeneous SpycerNet for high-resolution material used in automatic conforming.
As an open system, Spycer integrated into IT infrastructure for file-based workflows. It supported MXF variants using broadcast codecs including Avid DNxHD, allowing users to view MXF files without additional conversion. Its integrated converter also added important MXF variants.
