The company is now among 50 film laboratories worldwide that have successfully met the KODAK quality-assurance programme’s strict requirements for processes, staff qualifications, and documentation. Certification requires a score of at least 90 percent as well as continued, comprehensive process monitoring and quality assurance.
“Our national and international customers can rely on outstanding, tested quality and consistent, reproducible results in our negative processing,” said Stefan Müller, Managing Director of CinePostproduction. “This gives us ideal starting conditions for digital post-production, including colour grading with Lustre in HD or in combination with the Barco Digital Cinema projector in 2K.”
Technical Director Peter Reck, supported by his Berlin colleague Gerhard Remus, was responsible for the extensive preparation, process standardization, and implementation of the specific quality-assurance measures. Dieter Krinke, Product Manager at KODAK Entertainment Imaging, supported the team throughout the project, while Pascal Bony from the technical service centre in France conducted the certification.
Dieter Krinke congratulated the Cologne team: “Heike Kulhavy, Head of Strategic Planning, played a decisive role in the success and motivated the team in the face of the project’s challenges. Peter Reck was responsible for the documentation, which is an essential part of the success. Here in Cologne, we worked with highly professional and committed employees who are fully convinced by the KODAK IMAGECARE programme. The film laboratory is very well organized and all processes run smoothly.”
