With the introduction of Perseus at NAB 2009, DVS is expanding its OEM video-board product line. Perseus outputs uncompressed material at resolutions up to 4096 × 3112 in real time, addressing digital post-production as well as demanding presentation applications.
Manufacturers of high-performance playout and post-production systems can use Perseus for uncompressed image output without compression artifacts such as blur, washed-out colours, or colour blocks. Edited films and effects can be displayed and checked at cinema quality on large projection surfaces through the PCIe board. An extensive SDK supports the development of systems for workflows using the highest-quality content.
Common 4K displays and projectors can be connected to Perseus through four DVI or four dual-link SDI ports. An integrated 3D LUT provides real-time colour management.
