Thanks to its Bluefin2 FPGA, the Apollo console provides 1,020 signal paths, 128 programme buses, 96 track outputs, and 48 auxiliary paths at 48 kHz. At a sample rate of 96 kHz, Apollo provides 510 signal paths, 64 programme buses, 48 track outputs, and 24 auxiliary paths.

The Apollo console is modular and freely scalable with up to 320 physical faders, including support for multi-console configurations. Apollo console components are connected by CAT cable.

The processing rack is part of the Apollo console and contains the FPGA unit, Hydra-2 router, control and storage unit, and power supply. All modules are redundant and can be exchanged during operation.

The Hydra-2 audio router provides 8,192 crosspoints. Physical interfaces connect through 19-inch I/O units and are distributed over a star-shaped Ethernet structure. Hydra-2 automatically determines the audio network’s new channel capacity. The solution is distributed by Media Logic.
