Before HD shooting begins, the complete workflow must be defined: which final formats are required, which settings should be applied in the camera and which should be deferred to postproduction. HD offered numerous options and pitfalls, and not every camera suited every project.

The seminar addressed these questions and important workflow decisions before production. It related camera HD formats to the HD broadcast standards of ARD and ZDF and the requirements of other possible content distributors. HDCAM’s particular characteristics were also discussed.

A second part on May 8, 2009, covered postproduction and mastering workflows. Registration for both seminars was recommended.

Cameras from Sony, Panasonic and RED were available for the seminar.
