Autodesk is expanding AutoCAD Revit Structure Suite. The software package for design and construction planning includes AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit Structure and AutoCAD Structural Detailing. Autodesk customers can move to the new suite on particularly favourable terms until July 15.
The Revit Structure Suite for building information modelling supports structural engineers from planning through fabrication. Parametric change management enables simple, rapid model changes. A change entered once in Autodesk Revit Structure is automatically applied and updated in every view, including floor plans, elevations, sections and associated drawings. Bidirectional links to leading structural-analysis applications ensure consistency and improve coordination among participants. Based on AutoCAD, AutoCAD Structural Detailing adds reinforcement-planning capabilities within a familiar workspace. More precise detailing and the ability to create reinforcement, reinforcement plans and steel-fabrication drawings increase productivity and extend the software solution across all project phases.
“Changes carry a high risk of errors in every planning phase. The Revit Structure Suite’s change function greatly reduces this risk through a central parametric building model and improves collaboration among all project participants,” says Christian Weiss, Autodesk Industry Marketing Manager for Architecture and Construction. “Combining Autodesk Revit Structure and AutoCAD Structural Detailing on the AutoCAD platform makes Revit Structure Suite an optimal tool for everyone involved in structural planning.”
