The sixth Hamburg Architecture Summer takes place from June to September 2009 under the motto “Space in Time — Hamburg in Motion”. More than 230 events present the full range of architecture, urban development, landscape planning and civil engineering. As official main sponsor, Autodesk supports the festival and helps raise awareness of architecture in Germany.

“Hamburg Architecture Summer is a highlight for every architecture enthusiast and the largest project of its kind in Europe. Autodesk is naturally involved when current trends are presented and discussed,” says Christian Weiss, Autodesk Industry Marketing Manager for Architecture and Construction. “We particularly want to be present when urban development and sustainability are discussed.”

Hamburg Architecture Summer has been held every three years since 1994 and is directed at the broad public. In 2006 it attracted around 300,000 visitors from Germany and abroad. The event sees itself as a civic initiative for architectural culture and is organised by the independent Hamburger Architektur Sommer association. More than 150 organisers participate, including museums, public authorities, universities, galleries, architectural practices and artists. Visitors can expect a broad programme of exhibitions, conferences, talks, panel discussions, activities, workshops and tours focused on architecture.
