The application can be downloaded directly from Apple’s App Store and allows users from Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland to watch BBC World News live wherever they are in the world.
Developed with online-television specialist Livestation, the BBC World News application costs just under €8 and has been available for download since June 3. The BBC’s mobile news site is also integrated, giving users one-click access to the latest news and sports information. BBC World News is supporting the new application with on-screen promotion on the channel and advertisements on Livestation’s website.

With live television streaming and the BBC’s mobile news site, the application is a complete on-demand news service. Making a live news channel available on iPhone at this television quality is a world first. We are working to make the service available soon to iPhone users in other regions.”

BBC World News, the BBC’s most-watched television channel, reaches 74 million viewers each week.
