Neyrinck, a leading developer of surround-sound software, is presenting an update to its popular SoundCode for Dolby E software. In addition to Windows XP and Vista support, this update also includes numerous new functions for users of Avid Media Composer, Apple Final Cut Pro and other workstations. SoundCode for Dolby E is a stand-alone software package and Pro Tools plug-in bundle for Dolby E encoding and decoding. It was developed specifically for post-production studios, television mixers, broadcasters and content distributors that need to deliver Dolby E content digitally or on tape.
The new version 1.1.3, available for Windows and Mac OSX, has a variety of new functions for decoding in Dolby E format. From now on, the stand-alone software can also decode Dolby E streams faster than real time into BWF files that can be imported directly into Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro and other media workstations. Playback of a Dolby E stream through Core Audio or Windows MME hardware is now also possible. Thanks to the new functions, video editors can receive, listen to, decode and import Dolby E content for further editing and mixing. The Dolby E encoder has also been developed further and can now deliver multi-mono BWF files that can be imported directly into Pro Tools, in addition to interleaved BWF files. The new version also offers Pro Tools plug-in support under Windows XP/Vista and is fully compatible with Pro Tools 8 HD and LE. In short, this update makes Neyrinck SoundCode for Dolby E a complete Dolby E encode/decode solution for Media Composer, Final Cut, Pro Tools or any other workstation that uses BWF audio files.
