The presentation of the third DIPTV Award has been postponed to November 26, 2009, and the submission deadline for the award to October 15, 2009. Official reason: due to the “positive response” to the subject of IPTV, the German IPTV Association decided to schedule the additional full-day “IPTV next steps” symposium. Many potential entrants are likely to welcome the extended deadline, the organizers speculate, and the association also hopes this will produce strong participation with creative solutions.
The “IPTV next steps” symposium focuses on innovative IPTV formats, networked television and broadcast/broadband hybrid solutions and will take place during the day in Berlin on November 26, 2009. “IPTV next steps” concludes in the evening with the presentation of the DIPTV Award.
According to the association, the German IPTV Award is the largest award in the IPTV field and is being presented for the third time. It carries non-cash prizes worth more than 45,000 euros. Entries are submitted via the website http://www.diptv.org.
The German IPTV Association is an association of small and medium-sized IPTV companies. Its members include 123 companies from every part of the value chain.
