In the open world of Assassin’s Creed II, the player embodies the young nobleman Ezio, who is betrayed by rival ruling families in Renaissance-era Italy, Ubisoft explains. Ezio’s ensuing campaign of revenge draws the player into an epic story that promises great variety, surprising gameplay elements, a multitude of weapons and profound character development, which Ubisoft is convinced will delight both fans and newcomers.

Assassin’s Creed II will be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on November 19, 2009. In addition, Assassin’s Creed II: Discovery for Nintendo DS and DSi and Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines for PSP will be released on the same day.
