Austrian Broadcasting Corporation (ORF) is Austria’s largest media provider. ORF produces three television channels as well as three nationwide and nine regional radio stations. It is also the largest cooperative member of the Austria Press Agency (APA).
ORF’s film archive dates back to the 1950s. Hundreds of moving images will soon be available for secondary use – the thematic range extends from current affairs, landscapes, cities and nature through science and culture to historical footage. A current distribution agreement with Framepool is intended to make finding and reusing the extensive material as easy as possible for interested filmmakers. The clips can be accessed directly on Framepool.de through a keyword search and are available within a very short time in the desired format.
