Media 100 announced version 1.1 of its Media 100 Suite, an editing and compositing solution for Mac OS X. The new version now also supports Blackmagic Design I/O video cards in the Intensity Pro, DeckLink SDI, DeckLink Studio and DeckLink HD Extreme ranges. Cards from Matrox and AJA were already supported.
Media 100 Suite was released in August of that year and was intended to enable extremely fast, high-quality editing and compositing under Mac OS X. According to the manufacturer, it is distinguished by a unique combination of ease of use and professional results. The suite uses numerous QuickTime codecs, including DVCPRO HD and Apple ProRes 422, and includes After Effects and Final Cut Studio integration. For example, it permits the exchange of project data among Final Cut Pro users and allows the timeline to be exported to After Effects.
