According to Ubisoft, the launch trailer shows how Ezio’s life could have changed and charts his development from an initially blameless teenager into an assassin yearning for revenge who takes his fate into his own hands.
The video special provides further insight into the world and life surrounding protagonist Ezio Auditore da Firenze. On location in Florence, it examines the authentic settings more closely and compares the buildings of present-day Florence with their virtual 15th-century counterparts. The programme also devotes particular attention to the new features of Assassin’s Creed II.
Among other things, players in the second instalment of the assassin saga can now customise and dye their outfits, expand the villa on the protagonist’s family estate and even earn money from it, glide through the skies above Venice in da Vinci’s flying machine, or bribe the town herald to improve Ezio’s reputation among the population and guards.
Alongside new details about the story of Assassin’s Creed II and further information about the handheld spin-offs, the video shows Ezio during a very special “detour” into central Düsseldorf. There, he prowls the streets and encounters bewildered passers-by and die-hard Ezio fans.
