According to the company, SANYO Sales & Marketing Europe GmbH will present highlights from the market’s largest projector line-up, as well as its powerful professional monitors, at Integrated Systems Europe, Europe’s most important trade fair for professional audio-video solutions and electronic systems integration. With an exhibition area of more than 250 square metres, SANYO aims to invite stand visitors to discover the possibilities of modern image display.
SANYO can be found in Hall 10, stand I 118, at the fair in Amsterdam from February 2 to 4. At the event, the company will unveil the PLC-XF1000 installation projector, a new WXGA projector in the XM category and the exceptionally bright PLC-XU116 for the first time.
PLC-XF1000: highlight projection across more than 50 square metres
SANYO is creating the visual highlight across more than 50 square metres with the new
PLC-XF1000, the statement continues. Four units, each with a light output of 12,000 ANSI lumens, provide high image brightness and, combined with QuaDrive technology, outstanding colour reproduction. A moving PLC-XF47, the world’s brightest LCD projector with 15,000 ANSI lumens, perfectly complements this installation and extends it across the entire stand area.
World premiere for WXGA projector in the XM category
This model celebrates its world premiere at ISE 2010 and demonstrates the characteristics a projector must possess to meet the highest technological demands. High image brightness, low-maintenance operation thanks to automatic air-filter replacement, and flexible installation through motorised lens shift, focus and corner-keystone correction make the projector series a highlight. In addition to XGA, the device series, available from spring 2010, also impresses with WXGA resolution and features inorganic LCD panels for high-contrast displays, SANYO explains.
PLC-XU116: bright model for demanding applications
The third new product is the PLC-XU116. As the successor to the successful PLC-XU115, it follows in its footsteps with numerous further developments. This particularly bright model produces brilliant projections with 4,500 ANSI lumens, even in difficult lighting conditions or on large projection surfaces. It impresses with its compact design and a weight of only 3.5 kilograms. This means it can be used on the move despite its high brightness. The new and improved inorganic LCD panels promise higher contrast values and a longer service life. Through
vertical and horizontal keystone correction as well as corner-keystone correction, it offers particularly flexible adjustment options even under unfavourable conditions. WLAN network integration takes place via protected Wi-Fi access, while the 11n network standard ensures particularly reliable transmission of large amounts of data. At the fair, SANYO will demonstrate how data can also be transferred from the source to the projector via USB cable.

Short-distance expert
With the successor to the PLC-WXL46, also being presented for the first time at ISE 2010, SANYO offers a preview of spring 2010. This device, with widescreen resolution and an exceptionally short projection distance, also offers high image brightness and excels particularly when used with interactive whiteboards and in conference rooms, the company continues.
Numerous additional projectors round out SANYO’s trade-fair presentation. With its WXGA resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, the PLC-WXU700 is ideally suited to widescreen applications. The portable, bright projector with 3,800 ANSI lumens plays to its strengths in a WLAN application. Video content can be transmitted wirelessly from a source to the projector at a transmission speed of 150 Mbps, corresponding to the 11n draft 2.0 network standard.
Three further devices demonstrate a major trend in business and education projectors: large projections from short distances. The masters of short projection distance are the PLC-XL50A and PLC-XL51A. These projectors create an 80-inch image diagonal from a distance of just 8.1 centimetres. Visitors can experience the flexible application options first-hand at ISE 2010 as part of a 360-degree installation. Another widescreen specialist for short distances is the PDG-DWL100. This DLP device impresses with 2,700 ANSI lumens and its integrated 8-watt speaker, making it a genuine multimedia projector.
SANYO is presenting the PDG-DET100L as a professional model for the medical sector. It offers optimum greyscale gradation for displaying precise X-ray images thanks to DICOM® Simulation Mode, the company continues. It also shines with a high light output of 7,500 ANSI lumens and a contrast ratio of 7,500:1. The PDG-DHT100L demonstrates how high-resolution Full HD data content can be transmitted wirelessly over distances of up to 30 metres using the HD Wireless system. This operates 24 hours a day at a brightness of 6,500 ANSI lumens.
Indoor and outdoor monitors: 52SR2 and PID-42AS1
In the monitor segment, SANYO is presenting two professional models that can withstand extreme environmental conditions. The weatherproof 52SR2 monitor is protected against water and dust to the IP66 industrial standard, making it ideally suited to outdoor use. SANYO is displaying the monitor in a tank under continuous spraying to demonstrate its performance. Winter Mode allows use at temperatures down to minus 20 degrees Celsius, while the vandal-resistant front panel and corrosion-resistant housing mean the monitors can also be operated in public areas without difficulty. The Daylight Readable Panel ensures optimum readability in an environmentally friendly way by reflecting incoming light and thereby increasing the monitor’s brightness to as much as 1,500 cd/m2 in bright lighting conditions. The PID-42AS1 is intended for indoor use. Here too, the Daylight Readable Panel increases the monitor’s luminance to as much as 1,500 cd/m2 in bright ambient light. The monitor is therefore ideally suited to use at the point of sale or other locations and offers perfect readability even in difficult lighting conditions, the statement continues.
