These include powerful simulation functions such as Mechanical Event Simulation (MES), flow simulation and multi-physics. With Autodesk Algor, designers and engineers can make important decisions about a product’s design very early in the development process. In this way, potential problems are identified at an early stage, saving costs and accelerating product development.
Extensive tools for finite-element modelling and integrated material libraries help engineers derive FEM models from CAD data quickly and easily. Initial ideas can therefore be analysed and optimised accordingly as early as the design phase. The solution supports direct, associative data exchange with a wide range of CAD programs.
“Autodesk Algor Simulation is a professional solution for carrying out calculations and analyses at an early stage in the development process,” explains Wolfgang Lynen, EMEA Marketing Campaign Manager at Autodesk. “Even designers who do not regularly perform FEM calculations can quickly gain a good impression of whether their design is moving in the right direction or how it can be optimised, thanks to the software’s ease of use.”
The Autodesk Algor Simulation product family is scalable and offers tailored analysis and simulation functions for linear and nonlinear calculations, static and dynamic analyses, flow simulations, electrostatic simulations and multi-physics simulations.
Algor’s CAE software was acquired by Autodesk at the beginning of 2009.
