Leipzig Trade Fair Wins Heavyweights of the Online Games Industry

Preparations for the second edition of GAMES CONVENTION ONLINE, taking place in Leipzig from July 8 to 11, are in full swing.

The trade fair is backed by heavyweights of the online-games industry including Bigpoint, Travian Games, SevenOne Intermedia, InnoGames and gamigo, as well as multipliers such as nexxter interactive services and schülerVZ.

On March 31, according to company information, Leipziger Messe presented the first advisory board for the world’s first trade fair for browser, client and mobile games. The committee of industry experts advises Leipziger Messe on strategy and content matters relating to GCO.

Silvana Kürschner, Strategy Director at Leipziger Messe, explained: “The advisory board brings together internationally experienced game developers and publishers. They contribute their industry knowledge and experience in order to guarantee a successful GCO for all participating players within the value chain of the online-games industry.” At regular meetings, the profile of GCO will be developed continuously together with Leipziger Messe in the interests of the games industry.
