Stop-Motion Animation: Animating Three-Dimensional Figures

Duration: 2.5 days / 25 hours Fri 15:00 - 20:00 CET SAT + SUN 10:00 - 20:00 CET Location: Gelnhausen, Hesse, 40 km east of Frankfurt am Main Objective: Participants gain an insight into various techniques of stop-motion puppet construction. They learn about the materials used and the special technical requirements and can gain initial experience in building their own figure or deepen their existing experience. Topics in the theoretical part of the workshop: - Possibilities in puppet construction - Materials for constructing an animated-film figure - Special technical requirements of a stop-motion figure Topics in the practical part of the workshop: - Construction of a character skeleton / wire armature - Building a humanoid animated-film figure on the armature using plasticine, foam, latex milk and various other materials General information: - All materials included - no extra costs - Participants can of course take home the armature and puppet they build during the workshop - Each participant receives a materials list Maximum number of participants: 8 people Cost per participant: Students, trainees & civil-service workers: EUR 185,- (including VAT) Hobbyists: EUR 200,- (including VAT) Self-employed people, educators and anyone using the course as professional training: EUR 255,- (including VAT)
