There are specially tailored offerings for both subject areas:
The 3D Arts Summer Academy covers all essential work stages in producing moving images with a 3D/CGI component. Using suitable prepared files and models, participants learn exemplary workflows in professional software applications. The aim is to develop an exciting scenic design themselves under guidance, which is implemented as a video from a collection of drawn, live-action, and 3D-animated and rendered scenes. This preliminary version of the final product, referred to in professional production as an “animatic” or “previs” (from previsualisation), should already meet the requirements of the final version in its editing and dramaturgy and receives an effective acoustic accompaniment through sound design.
The Graphic Arts Summer Academy provides an insight into the exciting possibilities of current media production for print, online and 3D/CGI. Starting with collage, photography, image editing and drawing, it proceeds to video editing and 3D/CGI. The background and effects of visual communication are explained, and visits to the printing works of Verband Druck und Medien Nord e.V. and an agency are also planned. On AEP’s website, the Summer Academy is covered and presented live by its participants themselves. They learn how to maintain and build a content-management system and can help design the website themselves. The Graphic Arts course designs posters that give the graduation celebration its distinctive appearance.
