With immediate effect, André Weijde thus heads an established management team that will lead ATEC Business Information GmbH in future. The expanded management team consists of experienced experts from within the company: Christian Schittich, editor-in-chief of the specialist magazine DETAIL; Meike Weber, also editor-in-chief of DETAIL and head of the Transfer division; Ramon Parma, head of e-business; and Stephan Krafzik, publishing director of the Technology division and responsible for the specialist magazines Recycling Magazin and Digital Production.
The change of company name to ATEC Business Information, made necessary by the separation from Reed Elsevier, and the appointment of the expanded management team are further logical steps in aligning the specialist publisher towards becoming a multimedia company covering the entire product range in specialist information, from e-business solutions and events to the traditional print sector with magazines and book programmes.
Ferdinand von Wrede, Managing Director of the European Professional Publishing Group, which acquired the now renamed ATEC Business Information GmbH from the international publishing group Reed Elsevier in March 2010, commented on the changes: “We are delighted to be able to shape the further development of this successful publishing house with a committed management team.
Our shared objective is to strengthen the existing products and achieve further growth, especially in the areas of online and corporate publishing.” At the same time, Ferdinand von Wrede paid tribute to departing Managing Director Hans-Jürgen Kuntze: “Through his professional and sensitive leadership, Hans-Jürgen Kuntze played a decisive role in the company’s successful establishment and expansion. We thank him very much for his commitment and achievements.”
“I am very pleased to continue driving forward the growth course that our company has already embarked upon and, together with my highly motivated team, to implement consistently the measures that have already been initiated,” André Weijde explained regarding his commitment.
