The International Short Film Festival Hamburg is one of the world’s most important and successful short-film festivals for the industry and public. From June 1 to 7, around 300 excellent short films from around the world will be shown in the various competitions (International Competition, NoBudget, German Competition, Hamburg Short Film Night and Flotter Dreier) and special programmes (country focus Thailand, Searching and Finding: The Meaning of Life, Thunder & Roar: The Motor Programme, Dirty Diaries and others).
Alongside short films in cinemas, the festival offers other exciting events such as two open-air screenings on a parking deck, a tour through the St. Georg district with mobile projectors, various workshops and seminars for filmmakers, and the legendary party nights in the festival club.
The 12th Mo&Friese Children’s Short Film Festival takes place at the same time.
