During the “Worldwide Photo Walk,” photographers ranging from hobbyists to professionals roam a location or district for two hours in search of subjects. The destination is usually a restaurant, café or beer garden, where all the photographers sit down together once more to compare and exchange pictures, give each other tips and more. In a video, Scott describes how he imagines the walk.
Addison-Wesley is organising a Photo Walk in Munich with the Photowalking group
As walk leaders, you will meet Chris and Stefan, the founders and heads of the Munich PhotoWalk group: “Join us as we photographically explore BMW Welt and its surroundings as part of Scott Kelby’s Photowalk. First we will make a circuit outside the building with a detour into the Olympic Park. And if the weather permits, we will also pay a photographic visit to the Tollwood Festival taking place nearby.
All photography enthusiasts are welcome, regardless of their own photographic equipment, prior knowledge and level of experience. Whether a small point-and-shoot camera, an analogue gem or a highly tuned DSLR powerhouse… The main thing is that you bring along enjoyment of taking photographs together. And best of all: the event costs you nothing; on the contrary, you can even win great prizes. After the walk, everyone who feels like it will meet in the BMW Welt restaurant to review the Photo Walk, discuss the first results and chat generally about photography.”
The day’s winner of the Munich walk tour can win software from Adobe as well as creative books and video training courses from the Addison-Wesley publishing house, and much more.
