Multi-display setups are standard, particularly for graphics professionals and 3D artists. Anyone for whom the operating-system tools are insufficient can enhance their Matrox M-Series graphics card with “PowerDesk”. Among other things, the desktop – including the taskbar – can be extended as required to more than a dozen monitors in “Joint Mode”. It also offers precise desktop adjustments, including shifting the displayed regions to account for the physical setup. Matrox PowerDesk is included with drivers from version 4.00, and supported operating systems range from Windows XP to Windows 7. A Mac version is also available.
